Sindh Village Development Program .
Sindh Village Development Program (SVDP) is a non-government, non-for-profit, non-political, non-racial, independent civil society organization that believes in holistic and integrated development of the people, by the people, for the people. SVDP envisages the word ‘people’ as who are marginalized, voiceless, vulnerable, oppressed and neglected. It strives for the people living in Sindh without any discrimination. In this connection, SVDP envisions that development happens in diversity rather than isolation and segregation. The main focus of the organization is to empower the neglected segments of society, especially children, women, people with disabilities and the elderly.
It is one of the core organizations endeavoring to revive as well as to promote volunteerism in Sindh. SVDP gives high priority to inclusion, ownership and participation in improving the lives of the masses. It believes that a difference can be made through the mobilization of local resources, the active and informed participation of the people, and the creating leadership at the grassroots level.
